Shaving Cream Butterfly

Hi there, Stampin' Friends!  Today I want to share one of the cards I created using left-over shaving cream card stock from my previous project. (You can see the post along with a video on this technique here. )  I punched three butterflies with the Elegant Butterfly punch, stapled them together, and colored the staple with a brown permanent marker. The butterflies look like they are floating.  I ran the Very Vanilla card stock through the Big Shot with the oval Designer Frames embossing folder first, folded back one tab on my Multipurpose Platform and ran the card stock through again in the Framed Tulips folder.  This was my attempt at 'not squishing' the oval frame...it turned out great!  I stamped a sentiment using my Stamp a ma jig and layered onto the card base.  Quick, easy, and beautiful!

Ink: Soft Suede
Tools: Elegant Butterfly punch, staple, brown permanent marker, Big Shot: Designer Frames ef, Framed Tulips ef, Stamp a ma jig, Tombow multi purpose glue, foam mounting tape (non-Stampin' Up!)

Apothecary Art for Mother

Hi there Stampin' Friends!  Today's card took on a direction of its own.  This is not what I had envisioned when I started but I am happy with the end results.  The Floral Trim is one of my favorite embellishments!  It is soft and pretty just as it is or you can color by pressing it into your ink pad, spritz it with a mixture of rubbing alcohol and reinker, dip your aqua painter into reinker and brush on.  The Flower Trim is in the Spring Catalog and only available through May 31, 2013. 

On this card, I have trimmed two flowers off the trim and pressed them into my Raspberry Ripple ink pad.

Poppy Label for Mom

Hi there, Stampin' Friends!  I pulled out one of my favorite stamp sets, Pleasant Poppies, to create today's card.  I stamped it in Black Stazon on Very Vanilla card stock and colored with Stampin' Write Markers and a blender pen.  A simple outline with Sahara Sand bring dimension into the picture.

Amazing Mother

Hi there Stampin' friends!  I've been creating some Mother's Day cards.  I am preparing for the annual SaleARoma we hold at our church the Saturday before Mother's Day.  There are several vendors that attend, a garage sale, bake sale, and a lunch served.  It is such a fun day.  I've met so many people and have also gotten to spread some joy along the way.  A couple of years ago the Pastor's husband came to the sale.  He picked out a Mother's Day card for his wife and jokingly asked me, "So can I get a bouquet of flowers delivered with this?"  I replied, "Certainly!"   Sunday morning (Mother's Day) I got the honor of delivering a large vase of gorgeous daffodils freshly picked my garden to our Pastor from her husband at church.  When I walked in an announced that I had a delivery for Pastor Larae, she was overjoyed!  The look on her face was priceless.

Here are a couple of cards I created with silver and gold embossing powder, a little ribbon, and some pearls and rhinestones.  The come together beautifully to create a rich beautiful card.
