Santa Postcard

Hi there, Stampin' Friends.  Yesterday Santa was on an ornament; today he is on a postcard.  I inked up the Postcard stamp with my Black Stampin' Write marker, omitting the line down the middle and the 'This Space For Address Only'; huffed on the stamp to moisten the ink, and stamped it on Very Vanilla cs. Santa was inked in Black Stazon and colored with markers and an aqua painter; crystal effects were added to the lenses of his glasses. The greetings were inked with Black marker and stamped with the help of the Stamp a ma jig.

Here is a closer look at Santa:

The 'postage stamp' was created using the Postage Collection and Santa's List stamp sets, the Stamp a ma jig, and the Postage Stamp punch.  It is popped up on dimensionals.

I ran the Cherry Cobbler base through the Big Shot with the Framed Tulip embossing folder before mounting the Postcard on the front with liquid Tombow glue.

Amazing Postcard

Hi there, Stampin' Friends.  I bet you are just blown away to see that I have used the Postcard stamp...AGAIN! It has definitely climbed to the top of my favorite list and a stamp I do not plan on parting with.  Today's card is for a very special man in my life whom I love with all my heart.

This is not my 'usual style' but I really enjoyed creating it.  The elephant is stamped 3 times: once on the card base and twice on a scrap. I colored the elephant, cut it out, shaped it with a stylus, and glued it on the card base. I then colored the hat, cut it out and glued it onto the elephant.  Once again, there is dimension here that is not picked up by the camera.

Joyful Christmas Postcard

Hi there, Stampin' Friends!  Yes, another card created with the Postcard stamp. Can you tell it is one of my favorites?  Stampin' Up! has awesome Vellum card stock. It is easy to stamp on and easy to cut out.  Here I have also colored on the back of the leaves with my Gumball Green marker. I used a stylus to give the leaves some dimension and curled the flower petals with my fingers. I attached the leaves with glue dots and the flower layers are put together with dimensionals. A large pearl finishes of the center (and hides the dimensionals).

And here is the complete card with a little distressing and a little sponging...

Supply List:
Stamp Sets: Postcard, Joyful Christmas, Postage Collection, More Merry Messages
Card Stock: Crumb Cake, Vellum
Ink: Versa Mark, Crumb Cake

Embossing Buddy, White embossing powder, heat tool, Postage Stamp Punch, linen thread, pearls, Tombow liquid glue, dimensionals, glue dots, distressing tool, stylus, stamp a ma jig

Frontier Postcard

Hi there, Stampin' Friends.  I have another masculine postcard to share with you today. I even added a little 'barbed wire" down the center.

I stamped the horse twice; once on the card and once on a scrap. The image on the scrap was colored using a blender pen and Soft Suede marker.  I cut the image out, used a stylus to add dimension, and then added it over the image on the card with Tombow glue.  Here is a close up:

Supply List:
Stamp Sets: Horse Frontier, Postcard, Postage Collection
Card Stock: Very Vanilla, Soft Suede
Ink: Soft Suede, Gumball Green
Postage Stamp Punch, Framed Tulip embossing folder, Spritzer tool, Linen Thread, Dimensionals

Shop Around Queen

Hi there, Stampin' Friends.  The moment I saw the Shop Around Wheel in the 2013-2014 catalog, I knew I wanted it!  I personally struggle using the wheels...getting an even coverage of ink and getting it straight really frustrate me.  My solution is to 'unmount' the wheel and make it into a stamp.  This makes it usable and enjoyable for me. I use a craft knife to cut the seam on the rubber while it is mounted to the wheel. Once I have cut all the way through the rubber, I peel the stamp off the plastic wheel.  Using the Clear-Mount Cling Foam # 124236 on pg 197, I mount the stamp to the sticky side of the foam, and cut around the stamp and  Presto! A new stamp!!  I store them on an acetate sheet in a 3 ring binder.  They would also fit nicely in the Clear Mount Cases #119105 on pg. 197.

Here is what I created with the wheel... I used a Black Stampin' Write marker to ink just a portion of the stamp and then stamped it on the dress form.

Here is a close up showing the dimension:
