Tissue Paper Poppies

Hi there, Stampin' Friends!  I have been creating again with one of my favorite techniques.  I really enjoy stamping on tissue paper! I like the natural texture that appears after you have stamped, colored the image, wadded up your tissue paper, straightened the image back out and then glued it to card stock.  To top it off, Poppies are one of my favorite flowers in my garden. It's a double joy...favorite technique, favorite flower!  The tutorial for this technique is Faux Silk.

Faux Silk World

Hi there, Stampin' Friends!   I have masculine faux silk card for you today.  The written tutorial and video can be found here.  The image was colored with inks and an aqua painter.

On the inside I simply inked up the World Map, stamped off once, and then stamped on my card stock to create a subtle background.

Faux Silk Tulips

Hi there, Stampin' Friends!  If you are looking for a fun technique to add to your stamping, then you need to give the faux silk technique a try.  It has been around for a long time. However, I forget to how much I enjoy it and what a beautiful effect it produces.  Here is one of the cards I have created using this technique:

 

I have used an aqua painter to color in my tulips and Soft Suede to sponge around the image and give it dimension.
