Hi there, Stampin' Friends! I saw a beautiful card created by Sandy Hancock that I knew I wanted to recreate. In her tutorial she shows an easy way to use any designer paper to create a quick and beautiful card! You can view her card and tutorial here.
I have used some retired designer series paper to give it a try. I really like the way it turned out.
Here is the card when it is all put together.
Here is what it looks like when you take the insert out.
You can make them as fancy as you like...or as simple as you like. I have chosen simple for this card and simply added a few sequins and some Whisper White Polka Dot ribbon. For the sentiment, I inked only the top portion of a stamp from the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set.
Feel free to leave a comment. If you have any questions, please ask.
Blessings ~

Woven Heirlooms
Hi there, Stampin' Friends! I'm absolutely loving the Woven Heirloom Bundle! Today I have created a card using them to frame the horse from the Let it Ride stamp set.
I stamped the horse onto Whisper White cardstock with Momento Black ink and colored it with light and dark Soft Suede Blends. I cut it out using a large oval from the Layered Oval framelits and used tombow liquid glue to adhere it to the back of the Heirloom Oval Frame. That piece is mounted (with dimensionals) onto a piece of Soft Suede cs that I ran through the Big Shot with the Brick and Mortar 3D embossing folder and lightly sponged with Whisper White craft ink. The card base is also Soft Suede.
Please let me know if you have questions. I'd be happy to answer them.
Blessings ~

Free As A Bird Cards
Hi there, Stampin' Friends! I have a few cards to share with you that I have made using the Free As A Bird stamp set. I'm not going to go into a lot of detail about each card. However, if you have questions, please ask! You can click on each photo to enlarge it, if you so desire.
Enjoy....
This card uses the Free As A Bird Bundle and the new 2019-2020 In Color Designer Paper.
Here I have used the Heirloom Frames and Dies with the Free As A Bird. I masked off part of the stamp so I could fit it in the frame.
I used the whole stamp here, cut out the frame and popped it up on dimensionals. The cardstock behind the image was embossed both ways with the Subtles embossing folder.
A simple frame made using the stitched rectangle dies to cut the opening, then ran embossed it with the Pinewood Planks embossing folder. I added a piece of window sheet on the back side of the frame to make it appear like a framed photo.
This is a super quick and easy card to create using the Stitched Lace die, Layering Circle dies, Free As A Bird Bundle, and Bird Ballad designer paper. I changed the color of the Polka Dot ribbon by using a brayer to add ink.
Thanks for looking. Wishing you a blessed day!

Hi there, Stampin' Friends! Our second Make and Take for April also featured watercolor. The watercolor pencils and a blender pen make it incredibly simple to add color to your stamped image.
Here is the video showing how I created this card.
Please feel free to leave a comment and if you have questions about this technique, please ask!

Lovely as a Tree Watercolor Sympathy
Hi there, Stampin' Friends! Our April Make and Takes were based on watercoloring...simple techniques using water, reinkers, and stamps for this sample.
Water coloring can be so relaxing and produce beautiful results when you are finished. Many times your results will look much different when the coloring is completely dry. The ink has a tendency to dry much lighter than it appears when it is fresh and wet. Starting out light and adding more ink as you desire a darker appearance is a good rule of thumb. I am not in any way, shape or form an expert in water coloring. However, I enjoy doing it and learning as I go. I've come a long way since the first few times I tried it and I certainly have a lot more to learn. The most important suggestions I have to offer are practice, practice, practice! Relax, enjoy, create....It's YOUR art piece...do what makes your eyes and heart happy!
I have created a video showing how I created this card. As you will see in the beginning of the video, no two end up the same. You can change the appearance of your focal point by adding more or less water and ink.
Here is the video.

Brighter Days!
Hi there, Stampin' Friends! I was totally inspired after doing a google search of floral vintage umbrellas by this image.
Here is my creation.
Here is a side view so you can get a glimpse of the inside.
Inspiration can come from a lot of different places besides Pinterest. : ) Look in your closet, do a google search, check out a cool sunrise or sunset, go for a walk near a lake, look through a magazine...the possibilities are endless. I remember my daughter coming home from school one day so excited because her teacher was wearing a 'Pumpkin Pie' blouse! Of course, the teacher had no clue what a 'Pumpkin Pie' blouse was. However, my Punkin was so excited to share her stampin' knowledge with her Mama and she knew exactly what a 'Pumpkin Pie' blouse was!
Wishing you brighter days filled with abundant Blessings ~
